Pirates!

I can't help myself; first off the coast of Somalia and now the Baltic Sea! Pirates are becoming a scourge on our seas! (As a Tasmanian, I'm used to banditry, rouge militia, outlaws and escaped convicts, so I'd be well prepared if pirates began to haunt the sea lanes of the Bass Strait.)

You're always first with the pirate news, Luke!

Law at sea is a far more tenuous thing than law on land, because authority tends to be much further away -- so piracy is often a sign that something is very wrong with society nearby.

Thanks Radagast,

Although if there was piracy in the Tasman Sea it would be due to a decline in Victorian or Kiwi society rather then in Van Diemens Land!

(Wasn't your brother considering being a pirate chaplain?)

I think "pirate chaplain" is a somewhat self-contradictory concept...

Ah, rouge militia.

All that mascara is intimidating.
