Abandoned Places

One of the alluring things about the post-apocalyptic world is the urban landscape.  Check out this great montage of abandoned places from around the world.  There is something equally sad and compelling about abandoned building as, for example, this sequence of foreclosed or abandoned American homes shows. Here a couple from the original montage that were particularly striking.

The long shot of Hashima looks like Shutter Island.

I like the New York Subway station. What's the deal with that? Why isn't it used?
