How does Christian faith enrich Art?

"Christians do see a hierarchy of value and beauty that is external to themselves.  Nobility and craft have esteem. That does not mean devotion to pretty pictures or despising humble stuff but quite the opposite would be true, some Christians want to produce confronting pictures because they want to speak truth. But at some point in the spectrum of Christian Art, there would have to be celebration because history has meaning it's going some place."
My dad, the poet and artist, Steve Isham, at a recent forum about Art and Christianity organised by the University Fellowship of Christians, Ben Walter (poet) added "Christianity provides meaning" and Nick Gross (graphic designer) said: "Telling the truth is the role of an Artist and a Christian."
